What is Part Time Job ?

Part Time Job is working activity that students do after school or college. Generally part-time job are done in shift and payment are based on weekly working hours. Part-time worker are required to be responsible, obey workplace safety and regulations despite of the status of non full-time worker, and professionalism is a must. Time punctuality and discipline in attendant is obligatory when you work in Japan, either full-time of part-time.

 

Keeping balance in studying and working part-time is challenging, however it is obligatory to still prioritize study while also earning for your life expenses in Japan. 

 

Students who are qualified to do part-time job must:

  1. Possess Student Visa and has granted permission to work part-time by Japan Immigration.
  2. Restrict work hours to maximum 28 hours a week (4 hours daily). However when school is on break, students are allowed to work up to 8 hours a day.
  3. Part-time worker's salary ranges from 700 to 1200 Yen per hour (it can vary each region).
